Brief contents of the paper
(1) We improved a sampling method to take groundwater in lignite seam of the Tempoku Coalfield, which is located in the northernmost part of Hokkaido.
(2)We found that the microbial community was different in samples before and after improvement of groundwater samplers.
(3)It would be possible to monitor the microbial community structure in in situ condition of groundwater utilizing the improved groundwater sampler.
